 Awful car!

This thing is beyond doubt the worst thing that a US automaker has put out so far this century. Its been called the sympathy shag of US automotive journalism. The packaging is woeful, the assembly quality is sub-Fiero, the styling is lumpy, the top is unfathomable stupid in its complication (A roadster where you have to get out and push the little buttress thingies down, great idea!), the motor is weak, its too heavy, and it handles like a spastic cow. In summation I hate this car.
 Awesome Car!!!!

My Uncle has one of these cars. It's a beauty.... Love to go out for a ride every other day. Had the privilege in driving it to work a few times....Got a lot of eyes looking at me, but what the heck? People are jealous of a young female driving a car such as this in my home town. ^^ Strongly recommend this car to anyone....not to extreme young people who never own a car before....something else you may want to consider first....

its ok not big on that grill, if there so popular why didn't GM think to make more? any way in looks i think the mx5 is better and also well it susposedly performs better according a few automotive mags.

As the proud owner of a Pontiac Solstice, I have to say that this is without a doubt the best car on the market today! Granted there are more comfortable and more nimble cars, and the Sosltice has a slight practicality issue. But when you consider the base price of $19,995(mine cost about $23,500), you already start to see the brilliance of this car. The Mazda MX-5 is considerably more expensive, but nowhere near as fun. The steering on a Solstice is light and responsive, and you can feel through the steering wheel and the seat what the car is doing, but its far from uncomfortable. The car even feels much faster than it is - which is good from a safety standpoint 'cause it'll keep you from wanting to go too fast. If you want to spend 20 grand or so on a practical car, get a Mazda6. If you want to spend 20 grand on the ebst convertible money can buy, get the Solstice. Despite the nearly nonexistant storage capacity, no other car will give you the satisfaction of knowing you spent your money the best way possible. No other car will put as big a smile on your face as this.

And it seems the vast majority of people agree - Pontiac can't keep these things on their dealership lots! Its selling so well that they've cancelled their original plan to produce only 10,000 per year! This car is on the verge of beating out the Ford Mustang as the fastest-selling car on Earth.
 Excellent, for the average driver

I love the look and the stance of the solstice. Its styling is so aggressive; I had to stop when I saw one parked in town to really believe that it is a Pontiac. A clean simple interior is sometimes the best way to go when you are driving for sure pleasure. The solstice gave me some unpleasant surprises when I took one for a spin at a dealership, first off, if you are over 64, you will definitely find the windshield obstructing. I had to crouch just to see under it. This proved a new problem since the clutch, brake, and accelerator all encroached on my leg room. Handling was decent as expected in a lighter car. Good engine, rear wheel drive, and great styling but obviously made for the shorter body type.
 Wow.

This really is an amazing looking car. I would definetly choose this over any other Pontiac. The only problem I have is that it looks like the Dodge Razor and the Nissan 350z.
