next generation R8 |
greglgtp 11-06-2008 |
the next R8 should be the lemans quattro. Based on the design in 2003. Lemans quattro had about 610hp/550lb. torque w/7400rpm. a top speed possible 220+mph. They should make the R8 Lemans Quattro w/ a V-10 like the concept but w/640hp/540lb. torque. Guessing the RPM would range from 7500 to 8000. |

The R8 looks so much better in rel life as opposed to a computer screen. and i can assure you, if i had the time and money i would be demanding one right now! |
It looks interesting... |

...although it is almost exactly the LeMans concept from 2003. The performances are, in my opinion, worthy to an Audi. However, I do not understand their decision to call it 'R8'. I mean, this name already belongs to another model, so 'LeMans' could have done as well or even better. I hope it will be successfull. |
I saw this at L.A. |

Funny,it seems much smaller in the metal. In fact it seems smaller than the Gallardo; which is weird because it's longer, taller, and heavier. Mostly though, it just looks wicked. I can't wait till I start seeing them on the road! |
