    Thought so.

It's a new VW Polo Sport 1.6 or most likely 1.9TDI 5dr now PROBABLY. So that should have the costs down a bit.

That will be much better on insurance, road tax (for the 1.6) and petrol. Besides, by the time you're getting your license the current Polo will probably already been replaced (or about to), and if you want something sporty-ish without emptying your wallet it would be wise to look at other alternatives.

Well, it's what we're planning to get to replace the Mazda 323.
Either a VW Golf GT 1.4TSI
but most likely a new VW Polo Sport with probably the 1.9TDI 5dr because it's that bit more frugal and torquier

One day it will be, but when I get my liscence I will get it, Mum will no doubt stay on driving the Audi to work so I'll have pretty much totally free use of the Polo an once enough money has been saved I hope to buy it from her. No doubt parents will give me some money for it as will my grandfather and I have my savings too but I probably won't, Who knows yet...

Then why not get something more sporty-ish, without getting too extreme? You could look outside the VAG Group, and you'll find very interesting options.

I don't know, we'd like to stay within the VAG groupd for some reason and one of the Vee Dubs because I can get in the back of them, can't get in A3's, have difficulty in the SEATS but the Polo & Golf are perfect, we were looking at Mazda 3's but I think Mum wants a VW and Dad does too. Plus I wouldn't mind a Polo.

Easy, the one in yellow, monopolizing the atention of the others (with your knowledge on almost any subject...)

Nice ride BTW. Should your handle read Mazda, Matra Et Alpine now?

EDIT: I answered your challenge from the single post view coming from the link in Top Gear 2007 thread, hence my answer was an honest one (didn't see the sponge remark before posting)

See the sig .... UCP preference is NOT to change user names and besides this is a short-term ownership.

Classic foot in mouth ... as you'll have read by now I was LISTENING and LEARNING
