    Supercar Exhaust.

Im currently looking up differnent exhaust options, headers, pipes , cats, etc.

but i wanted to know If we should make it street legal (emissions and such) and if we do should it be a quad exhaust, (im thinking Zonda syle) Dual, or one hella big ricer fart can.

    >if we make it street legal by what laws should it complie.

EDIT im pretty sure it'll be a v'8

i was thinkin the same thing, i think the classic header's - cat - X-pipe - mufler's - dual tips in the classic either side of the bumper maner in clean subdued 3" tips. i also think we should at least pretend were trying to make it emissions legal, but nothing to radical. cat and air pump and the such

How bout dual exhaust with two glass pack resonators on each pipe, it gives maximum flow while decreasing the noise.

It will also be pretty cheap.

i think quad exhaust like the zonda would look gaudy, it was cool and original on the zonda, on anything else it would just look like an imitation. and personaly im not a big fan of it. i think dual exits with decent mufflers would sounds nice, look clean, perform, and not need any outragous pipe design. the problem with dual resonators would be space and the thing would still be loud. id like it to be nice and subtle. quite till you open her up. then she'll scream. and a nice set of true strait thru mufflers wouldnt compramise performance at any noticable level anyway

I'd say something like duals with an H-pipe (rather than an X-pipe, gives a throatier sound that way). Maybe a couple cats for emissions, and then something like resonators for a sound check.

H-pipe really gives a deep, meaty burble that makes the engine sound less stressed, infinitely capable, and almost ill-mannered or evil with the right engine and exhaust setup. X-pipes make the sound more whooshy, and IMHO make the engine sound more like a 6-cylinder or a 4-cylinder, and adds a really overstressed quality to the exhaust note.

In fact, I use an H-pipe on my car and it sounds terrific, each pulse is accentuated. I've heard the local 5.0's running X-pipes and it's just this constant drone, hardly any of the individual pulses gets through.

The difference isn't huge, but the H-pipe tends to focus a little more on low-and midrange, where the X-pipe is purely an exercise in top end.

Twin, def go twin... 4 is just ridiculous for a smallish coupe like we're making.
