imagine what kind of times this baby would reach if they put it on a strict diet. what about a veyron race car? of course the engine won't fit into the rules of any GT class, so I think a one-off would be fine. I bet if they got the weight to under 3K lbs it would post a 0-60 in 2.5. or something ridiculous like that.

This car is really a waste of money and time that could have been invested in other more lucrative cars. I must admit that it looks good but that's about it.
OT: why oh why do the French keep on mentioning prices in Francs ? It's really incredible. Even in supermarkets you still see that. Why not in old Francs as well ? It would be what, a 6.500.000.000 francs car ? anybody know the exchange rate between the vieux and nouveau franc ?

WHer have you seen the price listed in Francs ?
Is it possibly a very old site from the FIRST time the Veyron was "launched" ?
With Matras, an Alpine and a Renault I am very much in touch with French automotive parts and suppliers and nobody uses Francs !!!
