New world record - first sub 10 second 0-100-0. Guess who dunnit?

That's right, after breaking the 0-100-0 world record last summer, with a time of 10.3 seconds Ultima have done it again.

This time with a 685bhp 377ci engine, the car managed to better its time by a whole half second, 9.8 being the time in question.

It hit 60 in 2.7s, .2s quicker than the last attempt, 100 in 5.8s, .2s quicker than the last attempt, but .3s slower than the 0-100 time recorded later last summer*.

Ultima look forward to letting the Stig loose on BBCs Top Gear to "humiliate" the current fastest lap holder - the Ferrari Enzo.

    * Which just proves my point that I have made several times about figures being pretty much meaningless when comparing cars...
    Thanks for all the fish

.5 seconds!! They mustve got a better driver or something because thats a huge different. I still think the GTR is the best value for money in terms of performance. Its much more stripped out than a Lotus but who cares when you have something as earth shattering as that. Id enjoy to see this against the Cerbera Speed 12 .. just been reading Evo .. it definatley has pure potential to beat any of the current supercars but if it can have anything over the Ultima is a different question.

Noble M400 should be good too .. Autocar tested it against the Sagaris and held with it in the corners then minced it in the straights. The Noble is £10k more expensive and has very low luxury though .. but its still good. Id take the Sagaris over it. I think Id take the Ultima over those 2 just to know that nobody will ever beat me on the road .. although if i had my sensible hat on Id take the Sagaris (never thought id be saying that about a TVR!)
