Yeah, I did. It will be the pimpest goverment in the New World.
Here in Brazil, if you want to work for the goverment, the norm is that you undergo these national wide public exams which classify and select people for the openings. These exams are held for evertime they are made necessary, and not everytime there's a single opening. They do this to avoid corruption and having people working there because of their conneections and not their abilities.
So there were 64 vacancies for this specific occupation at the National Ministry of Education and Culture, along with other vacancies for other occupations. I kid you not, 20000 people applied fore this occupation. The exams were held in some cities of the country on March the 6th. Of course, not everyone shows up for the exams, not everyone really prepares for it, I dare say only 10000 were serious candidates.
Anyhow, ammong all these folks, I got the 37th best results on the grades! Which means I'm in mother#$%#ers!!! I'll probably start working in about some 45 days. It's not the best paid job, not enough for me to live on my absolutely on my own with the same comfort I have to day, but it's enough to make life much easier. Most importantly, I'll be able to go to Law School and prepare myself for my diplomatic career, and other things I have in mind.
I'm happy. I'm cool. I'm gonna get my own #$%#ing money from now on.
Come over to my place, beer's on me tonight.
