It's a weird engine that's under development. Pistons in pairs which move upand down in axial chambers and rotating valve openings.

Very few moving parts, the setup has lots of combustion cycles overlaping so can likely produce lots of power but maybe not much torque ?

The super-charged CEM Engine has the potential to become one of the first self-lubricating, air-cooled, multi-fuel, four-stroke cycle engines to deliver two horsepower/pound.
That really doesn't sound too bad. But will it actually fly?

Duesenberg to be back in 2007

A group of americans is planning to bring back the legendary brand Duesenberg in 2007. The plan looks well thought: freelance car-designer Jeff Teague is working on a design for the new Duesenberg. Teague is a former designer for Kia and Hyundai. In januari 2007 the Duesenberg Torpedo Coupe will be released. Rumours are that the car share a lot of technique with the Mercedes CLS.

E.P. Industries is reported to be building the engine. The engine should be an aircooled supercharged 12-cylinder engine producing 300 bhp. The most astoning fact to the engine is that is should only use 1 liter of gas on 20 kilometers.

If nothing else, it would be fantastic to see something as uniquely powered as this. The looks could be improved upon. They should go more the way of the Exelero (Maybach coupe) and not so retro.
