Damn, that's ugly. Why do people even try doing this? No one could ever duplicate a supercar design other than the original designer. This is ugly and it makes the Porsche brand look bad. It's disgusting and Porsche should sue because they used the Porsche name and brand.

I think someone should buy this car to destroy it. he could have even used a boxster as a base instead of some cheapsh*t american car.

He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

Is it legal to do stuff like that?

It says it has a custom made chassis so Im presuming they made it from scratch .. although the F360 replicas always used Mk3 MR2's.

You'd thinnk Porsche would have something to say about that. He used their badges and wrote "Carerra GT" on the back. I think this may be one of my most-hated cars ever.

You think that's bad - I saw someone's attempt at a replica Audi TT.

The fact that you can probably buy a real TT for the ammount of time and money you could waste trying to build your own version is quite amusing.
    Thanks for all the fish

Those Audi TT replicas are caled Banham X21's. They come in a few different styles but are normally based on Metros (oh dear )

This would be one of the better (but still crap) replicas if it hadnt have been for the headlights.

same style as the one above

Of course, Banham dont always make such sh*t replicas .. their 550 Spyder is pretty convincing

I think Chesil might do Porsche 500 reps too .. they do really good ones if i remember rightly. I live a few mins from Hawk Cars who do Cobra replicas and live about 15 mins from Lynx cars that does Jaguar replicas that sell for over £100,000 .. there is practically no difference between the Lynx Jaguar D type and the real thing .. the Lynx Dtype also sounds like heaven

i think i got most of that after reading it twice, in 2 years my dad is considering getting a cobra body from factory 5 and fitting it with a VQ engine

A few of these are around in the Scottish Kit Car Club.

The problem with the lights is Banham was threatened with court action by AUDI as originally the front and rear lamps were IDENTICAL to the TT. So it was hard to tell them apart froma distance.

So they ended up with these ugly round things instead. Not the designers fault.

Sitting on an MG Metro Turbo these things actually do not bad, but they're more about looks than performance
