Maybe because people thought they shouldn't come before their "predecessors", the Cobra and the Countach.
Would it be possible, to play forever?
The conclusion reached was that a player is inevitably doomed to lose.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that many people prefer the Diablo and the Viper because of their modern design (or more modern than some on the list)...I'm sure this is quite a good list, since they seem to be looking at all the classics, as well as todays moderns...

"Dude", this is not his list, merely a copy of the list from indiacar.com. The cars are not in the order I would have placed them in either, but having never driven 49 out of the 50 cars (I managed to catch a short "test drive" in an '84 Porsche 928 once), I would probably not be considered expert enough to impact this list.

I do not know what criteria was used in the ordering of the list, apparently, top speed, acceleration, exclusivity, impact on the design of future sportscars may have been part of the criteria, but was not the be all and end all.

.... and welcome to the UCP forums.

I personally think that list was missing quite abit and had some things on it that are midly debateable.... I think the 240Z should of been in it a fast car for its time an avid handeler and the best selling sports carof the 70s.

The 1993 model was first available in 1992. Keep in mind that car models are always a year ahead...

oh no, another national influence ?????
The 240Z was not THAT best-selling WORLDWIDE.
    About 115,000 units from 1970-73.
Then it would be the 260. Did you mean to include all the 2x0 Z-cars ?
As anther datapoint, there were over 350,000 MGBs buiilt.

Erm, Me? The Viper had no impact on future car design, and goes to show how much weight americans place on muscle over style, class, reliability, engineering superiority, status, design and comfort.

Im afraid i would have SERIOUS problems with the enzo being no.1.... , for me that spot will always be reserved for the McClaren F1, a car that has had some real impact on the industry, (Though I would have liked to see the audi quattro, the mother of all modern sports cars, be THERE at least)

I really think that the Subaru Impreza WRX should be on the list. And what the hell is the Honda NSX doing up that high? I mean sure its a nice car but surely it can't be placed higher than a Diablo and a 959! Miura should be number one, becuase it was the first true supercar. That list is overall pretty crap.
