maybe they should of set their sights lower and made a replacement for the EB110, like buying the group making the Edonis

do they even have a solution to the breaks problem they were having, the horse power it has is amazing, but won't the car just slide all over the place?

I think Bugatti had one goal in front of them when they started to think about Veyron. That goal is to build a car that EVERYONE is talking about. And I think that amount of articles, press releases etc. proves that they did acomplish this goal. As for the car itself: it's not as pretty as it was in the begining.

Here is a possible solution for those challenged mechanics at Bugatti....Instead of having your cooling problems and your power problems, get rid of the damn Engine you have and put in the same engine like Jay Leno's Tornado. He has an American V-8 with two turbos that is pushing 1100 hp but has been detuned to 785hp because it was too much power for his Hot rod car to handle. Also he had converted the Torando from Front wheeler to rwd. It will still spin the tires loose like mad. At full power it there was no traction. Try that and make some nice Bugatti valve covers and call it a day. Let's get this thing over with.

    Actually it's 700hp, and 925lb-ft of torque.

he has a point tho, everybody else seems to have little trouble getting 1000hp out of v12's/v8s/v6's, why does bugatti need a v16?

Clutch-monkey is right. I mean they are doing a V16 because they think it would be easy to get a lot of horsepower from such a large engine but I mean really with all their tool and technology being such a company as Bugatti. I mean with all the necessary tools at hand, there is no reason they can not get that kind of horsepower reliably when there are American muscle cars that do simlar feats.

Being seen in a car that has been labelled as all 'hype' would be embarrasing too. The fact that its taken so long to get right is lame.
You try getting a car that capable right. Heck, yeah it's ugly, the enzo is ugly, but I mean numbers speak loud. Hype? There's no hype when I'm cruising at 200 and my car's still got some left in the gas pedal!

For the heck of it. I mean why not?? When's the last time a 16 cylinder was made? The Cizeta Moroder? and before that I think you'd have to go back to the 20's. Besides W-16 Quad-turbo sounds bad-A$$.

You know what else Quad-Turbo W-16 sounds like? Overweight failed POS that fails in the design department.
