Chinese 'Red Flag HQD' luxury car

    The Chinese RR version

It probably wouldn't have cost them any more to come up with a completely new design, which would also not have been hideous.
    Thanks for all the fish

danm it didn't know it was possible to put that much or a rolls royce into a car? The whole side of the car looks exactly the same as the Rolls Phantom

no, it looks quite nice, aside from the fact that its a shameless copy. the front end looks okay, very different, and personally i prefer the RR, but hey, what does this thing cost comparatively?

The car is fugly in the front and nice from the side, not counting the rims. I'd need to see a pic of the back though.

    What happened?

It's like a cross between a car wreck, a Citroen C6's rear end plastered to the front(look at the way the lights interact with the boot....) and Acropolis, attached to the front.

it is very difficult to design a car for a mrket and for it not to be "derivative".

If a designer analyses his potential market and pulls together the key deisng themese which appeal to the potential custoemr base and uses that as the basis fo a new product then it by definition will look to be an amalgam of features from products in thast marketplace.

So it's hard to make a car to sell to people who like and buy RRs and NOT for it to look like an RR. Even A Maybach has lines reminiscent of the 60s Rollers.

Equally it's hard to make an easy-to-use MP3 player and it NOT end up being "similar" to an iPod

Where we have developed products we often would spend MORE time trying to make the product look DIFFERENT from others than we would trying to encomapss the needs of the users Then you try to patent/copyright the key feature encompassed in the layout/look to try to prevent others doing the same !!
