Some useless trivia.
In 1986, V8 Zagato was the fastest production car in the world (300 kph). However, in the era of high tech twin-turbocharged engines, Aston's V8 was still fed with twin Weber carburetors. Hence the massive "power bulge" on the bonnet.
Later Volante model was built with modern fuel injected V8 engine and thus the bonnet bulge was lost. Top speed also dropped to about 250 kph.

Fantastically '80s! It looks like the unholy combination of a Subaru SVX, an Alfa SZ, and a Virage. While I think all those cars are better looking, save the Virage which is about as good looking, this is quite interesting and I would even call the red coupe handsome.
Great stuff, Revo!
The original spec for both variants was to be fuel injected, but due to reliability issues they coupes where either built with carbs, or in some cases converted to carbs to give them reliability.
Some have been fitted, or refitted with fuel injection to restore Zagato's design.

I'm glad to see other people appreciating this as much as I do. Thank you.
@Cyco
More romantic version of the story is that fuel injection on was ditched because at the time, it simply could not deliver enough power to reach magical 300 kph.
Nice pictures "Revo" i love the 1986 V8 Zagato. It's one of my favourite Zagato's. I probably love it because i love the Virage so much, i realy love that car.
