Right-click the files and look at the properties. Check off what seems to be fishy, it may be that they're 'read-only'.

One quick question: I have considered installing Limewire, I used to have KaZaa about 2 years and it brought viruses onto my computer so I removed it. Is using Limewaire any more safe than KaZaa? Or does it still bring viruses onto my comp too........I've been picky installing programs ever since I had the problems with KaZaa.

Most songs are scot-free, but check em out w/ a virus-checker anyway.

I do. But I also like to see if I want to go spend $13 on it at Best Buy, or wait a few months and get it for free from a CD club. Face facts, most of today's music isn't worth $13. And a 5" piece of plastic certainly isnt.

its doing that because limewires default setting is to share all of the fiels you download and others in your shared folder with other limewire users. look around in the options menu to figure out how to stop sharing, i did it somehow.

as for viruses, ive downloaded a lot of stuff and havent gotten a single virus.

my view on music is a bit more enlightened, i think

if i like a song, ill buy the album. if its good, i enjoy it, of its not, big deal...its just money...there is more to be made....
