pondering things
I've always been told by my mother that it's kinda important to go real hard and push the engine when you get a new car. But, what this guy claims here is that you should break it in hard the first hour that the engine runs which is quite impossible. All cars have been driven during transport before they are delivered. For bikes it's possible that they are "carried" during transportation.

they beat the crap out of the cars at the factory. when they come off the assmbly line they have lots of fun with those cars before their shipped out. theres a GM and a chrysler plant by me and so believe me i know these things....all you neon owners who are babying your cars when you first get em...might as well forget about it cuz its already had the crap beat out of it. GM SUV owners too...
My rides:
1999 Mustang GT
1974 Ford Country Squire (for sale!)
1991 Jeep Cherokee
1970 Shelby GT500
yup. its true. i think most manufacturers have a 1500 or so mile corse for breaking it in before it leave the factory. Then it goes to a dealership where a bunch of minimum wage employes drive them around the streets red lining and burning out... or maybe thats just my neighbor hood. lol.Originally Posted by Juggs
