well as you said before braking was one of its major problems, even the C6 only has twin pot front brakes, compared to the current 4 and 6 pot fronts on HSV's, so theres one possible weakness

well you were saying not that long ago that its either the SS or Clubsport that uses the C6's brakes or something...so it cant be all THAT bad...but certainly it says something if we want the brakes off a 298kw car to stick on a 250kw car.

Might be the rotors but HSV have there own calipers i think, But now i'm not sure what they have i think the range is performence brakes now?
But if they have similar brakes you have to wonder why the heavy VZ pulls up better?
Might be the callipers and pads. I wouldnt mind a little extra brake not that there is a problem with them now just a little extra brake never hurt anyone

Got me thinking now what car does have vette brakes? I remember saying it just can't remember what car it was. Might be the Yseries? Or even the VZ SS?

Apart from making brakes for Holden/Falcon etc since before we were born, the Victorian company PBR (Patons Brake Replacements) has been full-system OE brake supplier for Corvette since 1983 (!) also OE for Mustang Cobra, Firebird/Camaro, Suburban, Trailblazer etc

HSV's Performance (not Premium, eg AP Racing) brake package from PBR is also used on Corvette ZO6

As a kid I remember seeing new EH Holdens with the rear window decal which read:

    CAUTION (PBR logo) POWER BRAKES!

PBR began over 75 years ago in Vic as a humble brake repair shop. Since then they grown to supply Holden OE since 1948, also designed/built Holden's first disc brake system for the old '65 HD model. The company really is is a great Aussie success story

So the Vette really gets our brakes

They must be one of the only one's that hasn't sold out to overseas which is great
