'Mega' was brought to life by the Aixam concern in 1992. aixam was well known from their 50ccm cars, but now they wanted to make something really exclusive that'll show the potential of the manufacturer. In the same year they started making first of their two supercars - mega track (aixam showed it's prototype already in 1987) with the mercedes V12 engine. later on they showed mega monte carlo in 1996(same engine, but 300kmh topspeed). what i like in the track model most that it's one of the first really powerful sportcars that you can use in heavy terrain.

right now they're making only multi-purpose small trucks

As well as the Track they made a more street-version called the Monte Carlo which was going to be raced in GT series but didn't

They also made the "Glace" which won the Andros ice racing trophy in 94 ....

And the "Desert" which competed in the 2000 Dakar.......

Clearly they didnt' pay the guy who named the cars a lot of money

Sadly for a car that produced some nice machinerey they're back doing boring boxes

But at least they're still doing it in a nice building with great views !!!

Another brief highlight in French performance car design and production.

interesting thing is that the mega monte carlo wasn't designed by the aixam, they bought the monte carlo/monaco ltd. manufacture with the ready project.

if i remember well, they did quite well in the dakar, didn't they?
