I've got it on my stereo, I don't really notice much of a difference either. Just one of those typical marketing buzz-word things.
perhaps it just amplifies tones hat cannot be heard with the human earsOriginally Posted by Spastik_Roach
If it's the same as they introduced in their home stereo systems under the woox technology label then it's an additional amplifier stage to increase bass output.
Most amplifiers do this by filtering which can have a higher loss and distortion than a dedicated amlpifer slope.
not sure what they did in cars, but back then they talked about having 'tuned' speakers to match the amplifer technology. Putting the marketing buzz aside, what they likely mean is they put a driver in powerful enough to cope with the higher output

lol man i dont even know what you just said.
if i post the patent can you turn it into simpler tearms?
The woox stuff is explained in Philips sales material for their home stereo systems.
On your normal hi-fi the bass is "turned up" by using an electronic filter.
THe Philips woox turns it up by adding a special low frequency amplifer.
I don't see it as a great breakthrough
