rules:
Each comp. starts Monday morning, ending Sunday at midnight.
The winner of the previous comp. will choose the car, track, tires, modifications of the new comp.
If the time submitted by someone is unreallistically fast it will be excluded.
You will PM your best time to SIMPLETON.
You MUST PM your time to me if you wish for it to be included.
The only member(s) who may post their time before Comp. is over, are

The one with the fastest time will be the winner.
If you have a time that you think will win, take a picture as proof. If you win you will have to present this photo as proof.
If I find out that any time is false, goes against any rules, or is done through any use of unfair play or cheatery, the user will be banned from the competition for one week and will be stripped of all their points.
Scoring goes like this:
1st place recieves 10 points.
2nd place get 8.
3rd gets 6.
4th gets 4
5nd gets 2.
Everybody else recieves 1 point.
There will be a secret time that, under the rules, should be easy to obtain. This will be called the target time. If you meet the target time you will recieve an additional 1 point.

Ok guys, this week's challenge (by request of SIMPLETON):

Arcade mode, Time Trial

Track: Nurburgring Nordschleife

Car: RUF CTR "Yellow Bird" '87

Tyres: Sports Medium

Quicktune: None, car as standard

NO DRIVER AIDS!!!

Just a quick warning before you all start: this car wrote the book on understeer-snap oversteer!!! Also, I think the brakes are made out of chewing gum, they are hopeless!

Back in 1987 this car took the road car record for the Nordschleife in 8'22s. With these tyres you should be able to beat that time fairly easily. I did consider setting the challenge on standard road tyres, but the car was just HORRIBLE to drive.

Did a couple races on arcade mode and noticed all the other F1 cars had 904 HP, while mine had 892 (same as posted by jack). Is it another glitch? Haven´t really done too many of those races...

magracer, ive found that depending where you look in the game (garage, pre-race, post race etc) that the HP of any given car changes its really weird

I dunno why that always happens. When you get the car it is supposed to have 900bhp but as soon as you get into it to drive, it drops down to 892.

Though it's only 8bhp, less than 1% of the total power, it ain't gonna make that much difference!

just wondering, i believe i have that car but i've modded it in sim mode, will that go into arcade mode? i should be able to take it all back to stock in case of that.

hes so choppy and has so much oversteer, not smooth at all, i bet you with a more smooth approach he could be 10+ seconds faster

I still have no idea what you're talking about. Who is choppy, what is 1987, etc.
