    Hi,

I keep getting this from the home page:

This is in IE 6.0.2800 on Windows XP Pro SP1.

Next time it happens, do a 'View'... 'source' from the page.
Then in the notepad window it opens up go to the line it said was in error.
THEN grab the 10 lines before, 10 lines after and PM it or post it here.

With ads there's no guarantee that we're seeign the same things you are - in fact almost a guarantee we WONT.

My first suspicion would be that an embedded ad isnt' coded correctly and leaving a hanging tag. So the browser really only is aware when it gets to the </body> tag that something's amiss.

Off-topic, at the bottom of every page, it says UltimateCarPage.com 1998-2004, I recommend changing that to 2005.

Hi guys - sorry, didn't even notice the replies - forgot I posted this!

On every page except the forums (see attached). Line number varies but the error is the same. It always refers to this line:

    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">window.onload = init();</script>

So there's obviously something funny with the init() function. It's not in the page source so I'm not sure where you're linking it from.

init's a built in function , it may still be earlier in the script the problem is. Does it happen with any specific ads ?

What version of IE and Java do you have installed ?

    What ad-blocker, anti-virus, script-blockers do you have running ??

It's nothing too serious, but it has been added to Frank's to-do list and he'll take a look at it as soon as possible. Thanks for pointing it out to us Firefox users!
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Doesn't happen on my IE isntallation
Hence the concern is on what versoin of Explorer and Java. Something is breaking the cast for init() somewhere

IE 6.0.2800 on Windows XP Pro SP1 (as I intially posted).

Only pop-up blocker is the Google Toolbar's built in one. Corporate version of McAfee is installed, but I don't know how strictly it is set - it's centrally controlled by IT.

It happens on every single page - no specific page or ad.

Java version is 1.5.0 (though you're not running any applets so this shouldn't be relevant ... ?)

No problem Wouter! Thanks. Over and out.

Greg, can you get me on messenger or google ?
If you're on an IT firewall it's best not to discuss investigating further on your machine options for checking security

Can you confirm if the problem happens on the forums as well ?

It's not just him, my IE gives similar errors both on my laptop and this system.

Can you confirm if you're on SP1/SP2 ?

Anyoen else getting the error ?? Please post browser version and Windows.
If we can see the pattern it will be much easier to id the issue.

I just got it when I took a look at the store, I run XP and IE 6, I've never had it before and when I went in again it didn't come up. Next time it happens I'll make sure to make a screenshot.
