I agree , 10 mph over the speed limit is enough to kill a child.

If the speedlimit is 65 mph and I'm doing 75, I'm pretty sure the child dies either way, but yeah I'm just being difficult

Speed limits are there to be obeyed ,like it or not,if you go over the limit ,then no point moaning, this guy says he doesn`t even realise he`s going 10 mph over the limit
,he should check his speedo more often, and if he see`s that he`s over the limit, bring it back down, its not rocket science is it ?

If he thinks that the cops are dicks and they are just picking on him, then maybe its a good thing that he lost his licence for a year, hopefully he will be more carefull next time, a driving licence is a privelage, and to keep that privilage, then you stick to the rules of the road , but to loose a licence for topping up points for the same offence,Who`s the dick ?

because that's safer than say, checking the road or your mirrors more often haha. speed limits cater for the lowest common denominator, and it shows

No ,you should check your mirrors every 5-10 seconds and read the road aswell, as I am a driving instructor, this is what I do and this is what I teach people to do.

So if you stick to the speed limits ,check your mirrors and read the road ahead, this will make you a good defensive driver , will it not ?

The roads will be alot safer and people wont have to moan about loosing there licences will they ?

    This is just my opinion.........

Thats right guys, the police are out their to get you if you be speedin and a menace to society. They got helicopters, planes, cruisers, chargers, radio's, radar detectors, laser detectors, eye's, ears, and an army to find and catch you. Because thats their number one priority. Big brother is watching.

Hahaha. This was an epic bump.

By the way, you guys just eat up that "speed kills" bullshit. Honestly, If you can't handle a car going 116km/hr in a 100km/hr area (10mph increase), don't drive. If your reactions are THAT slowed down and you simply can't react at a 10mph increase over the highest speedlimit (depending in what country you live I guess) then you're just an incompetent driver and have no business being on the road. Take a bus instead.

BTW traffic on the 401 moves at 130-140km/hr on most weekday mornings and right after rush hour. Realistically, if I had my license taken away over some BS like this I'd be complaining too, especially if traffic frequently moves faster than 116km/h.
