    PSP...not so much for movies

So my brother got a PSP for his birthday and I have to so it's wow. I was skeptical at first, told him it wasn't all that great, but now I don't feel so///

    The sound quality - great
    video quality - great
    gaming is pretty good

a few quams with it are that it is an awkward hold, for me at least, and, what I would like to stress in this thread is that it's awful for movie watching. I watched The Longest Yard on it today and it was great, sound was good and the screen quality was great. Afterwards, I could hardly see. I was seeing doubles and my eyes kept shifting in and out of focus....this lasted about twenty-five minutes. I don't know if this is just my f'ed up eyes or if it's more or so what happens. My brother said it didn't do it to him when he watched a movie on it, so I was wondering. If anyone has a PSP and watch movies on it, has this ever happened to you?

i doubt i'd ever watch a whole movie on something a PSP, one of those creative or iRiver things that have the big screen or the iPod video. I'd maybe watch bits and piece of movies or videos while i was on the bus or something, but never a whole one

    lol

maybe it depends how far away or close up you were holding the PSP screen from your face.

PSP is great but i think movies belong on the big screen with some nice surround sound.

There are lots of folks out there watching movies converted to ogg format on the tiny screens of their mobile phones !!

    it depends for me

the 6 movies i have are legit PSP movies, only because they were some of my favorites and i wanted the high quality (predator, terminator 2, etc)

but yes from time to time I just download movies from the internet or burn them for my psp mem stick...512mb (right now i have the Enzo top gear video..1 hr)

Hey Rock, what firmware do you have? Any emulators?
