I am also not convinced about the doors. The yellow car, as shown earlier ion this thread, has the type of doors Fred describes, but the red car, shot in the Alfa Museum, and indicated to be a 1750 GTam, shows the standard doorhandles.

the third car appeared at the Nuerburgring in one of the support races for the 1000 KM LMS race from this year. It is a German series where I suspect replicas play a decisive, role, but the doorhandle is pure GTAM

Not to mention that sidepipes also aren't such a foolproof feature. Here is a well known GTA chassis no. AR613011 restored to its original 1966 Sebring specifications.

It seems as though GTA and GTAJ's have lightweight doors and most GTAm's have standard doors.

The GTAm was a standart Body 1750 GTV US Version, with wide Plastic fenders, it used normal steel doors. Autodelta did 12 factory Cars and 8 Customer Cars. In 1972 they changed the name in 2000 GTAm and did another 20 Customer Cars. Today you can buy plastic hoods and doors, with GTA Handles. It seems to be, that there is no oficial GTAm registry. So the doors are wide open for 'fake' Cars and I like them.
