All the 'gadgets' on the new S-class

In the Dutch TopGear Magazine of november there is a list of all the new gadgets in the new Mercedes S-class. You'll be amazed...

1. Radar and Camera parking - A special display with a rear-view camera. On the screen it show the lines of where you're heading.

2. Comand - Mercedes' version of i-Drive. One diffirence: this works...

3. Flashing brakelights - According to Mercedes people will brake harder on the highway in emergency situations when the brakelights flash and not the indicators.

4. ABC 2 - Active Body Control 2 is a system for the suspension. It keeps the car completely even. Ensures better handling.

5. Distronic Plus - Radar cruisecontrol. Also works on low speeds. So when you're in a traffic jam you'll stop and when you can drive again, it will do so.

6. Innovative Instruments - No standard speed indicator but a LCD screen. Also displays important information.

7. Pre-Safe - If the car senses danger, the car will move to the safest position, the head supports go up and the seatbelts are set to extra thight. Even the windows close. Even more amazing: the side of the seats will be filled with air and move to the center of the car, you'll never be safer in a car...

8. Hard disk Navigtion - No more slow cd's or stuff like that. 20 Gb of hard disk and because it only uses 10 Gb there is still room left for your music.

9. Nightvision - Improves the vision big time. You'll never be able to say you didn't see that pedestrian you hit... (thank God for that!!)

10. Brake Assisten Plus - Great system. Most accidents are caused by hard braking of the car in front. But you can't see it on there brake lights. This special cruise control indicates how hard you need to brake to keep the distance unchanged. 89% of the test drivers didn't cause an accident because of this system

i dont think this works cuz on a freeway even if u didnt hit the car infront of u the car behind u will hit u resulting the same $h!t

there is also a nightvision camera(stop copying other people mercedes) like on the cadillac deville but unlike the deville's, which is mounted in the grille, this is mounted on the roof, and according to a Fifth Gear test from Jason Plato, it doesn't work

Edit: it did work, but was rubbish, and we could do better just with our naked eye

the did a test on 5th gear and it braked, albeit abrubtly, but it worked!

YES, but the difference is over who pays the MONEY
