Your #2 pick is a great highway, Even though it scares the crap out of me flying through there on my Triumph Sprint ST 1050!

It's pretty close to me and I love ripping through there in my MX-5. I've seen some nasty wrecks there though. A 914 almost went off just West of the cliffside restaurant, luckily he got caught on some large boulders.

It's kind of a special occasion for me. I head that way home from Lake Skinner.

I LOVED Highway 1 when I lived there. I even cruised it a couple times in our droptop, there's simply nothing that compares.

There was a little road that connected Highway 1 with the Bay Area called Skyline Road, it's Highway 84 I think. Goes through Woodside and La Honda, I think. It's nice and windy, beautiful scenery, and at the end when you're dropping back over that coastal range into Redwood City, there's a series of tight switchbacks that put a lot of fun into it. I was never much into handling, but it was always good exercise for a car's suspension, it was the first place I took my Mustang after its new suspension.

How about the road from Rapid City, SD to Pierre, SD?

The aforementioned 1 and the one and only 101.
This question is bit wierd, but a good conversation starter.
Down here in San Diego, we have everything, long huge 8 lane freeways, cliff hugging highways were you can feel the spray from the waves, hundreds of miles of twistys in my backyard (Rancho) and a drag strip.
I love em all, very hard to choose.
The best thing to do in a car short of sex is to go faster than everyone else on the road.
