No hope for snow around here. We had a fluke little bit about a month ago, but it's long since gone. Probably about 8 degrees out today (which translates to about 46 for those of you living in the past/USA).

But pretty good considering it's winter over here!Originally Posted by whiteballz

Leaving Adelaide tommorrow morning for the shack on the river, should have the boat on the water by lunchtime. We have a Santa that comes past every Christmas and throws sweets to the kids.Everyone on UCP have a safe and happy Christmas.

Just checked the weather report, it's actually 15 (59 Farenheit for you dinosaurs) outside, which is ridiculous. Not exactly the Canadian winter stereotype.
We're having a clear and sunny Christmas! 5C on the day.

Just to add some info here...
The Fahrenheit scale is a more precise measurement of temperature than the Celcius scale. Check a thermometer which has both types of measurements... the graduations on the Fahrenheit scale are closer together which means that it takes less of a temperature change to register compared to the Celcius scale.

That's such a lame excuse for an archaic old system. Farenheit makes less sense and doesn't directly match up with any uses in physics. It's not really about precision at all - you can use decimals with any system. The only people who actually would ever need a really precise measurement of temperature would be scientists, who would all be working in Celsius/Kelvin to begin with. The only reason why its used is because for some reason the US refuses to change to metric, which is totally stupid.Originally Posted by Fleet 500

Still doesn't change the fact that Fahrenheit is a more precise measurement of temperature.
