The guys at Renegade Hybrids do a hell of a job! Check out this LS1 perfectly shoehorned into a Porsche 968
Just beautiful, and I bet it goes like hell too

They're one of my favorite automotive companies of all time - they put Chevy V8s into 928s, 944s, 911s, 968s, and 914s. They also have a pretty mean kit to convert a 914 to use a Subaru STi turbo flat-4
Here's a video of an STi-powered 914 doing a few donuts
Above all, their conversions are absolutely clean and reliable.
Thanks Shawn!! Those cars are awsome. Just added a a V8 968 to my "to get" list.Originally Posted by Egg Nog

Wow! That is one sweet car. I would love to have a sleeper car like that.
Wow,that's so awesome!
That is sacraligiosly ****ing foul...
What's the weight difference between the LT1 they suggest and the 968's stock motor? It shouldn't be too much. The aluminum SBC's are pretty light.

A LS1 in a porsche I bet thats a sweet car. That engine is just amazing.
as shawn knows, im a purist, so i would go for a hot rodded 928 V8 in my 968 were i to do such a thing
Purist schmurist, this thing hauls.Originally Posted by my porsche
This particular engine is an LS1. With everything hooked up and running it's actally a few pounds lighter than the stock engine - the balance is untouched.Originally Posted by Quiggs
Bah. Well I guess I can't stop anyone from being a purist, but the 928 engine costs an arm and a leg to maintain, weighs a lot more, gets far worse fuel economy, costs many thousands more to tune, and almost definitely wouldn't even fit. Basically, this offers every possible advantage except bragging rights with purist snobs.Originally Posted by my porsche
No. It's much better than the stock engine.Originally Posted by PininfarinaPIMP
ill take the one with the Subie engine

This is good shit. It going to cost less to maintain a car like that since it doesn't have a Porsche engine anymore.
I like this one. It's for sale.
