It took a while for me to fulfil my ambition of having a nice RWD driver's car as my everyday transport. It had to be rational, reliable, not expensive, beyond big depreciation and practical enough.
It may sound strange that someone with a 5 year old 206 2.0 HDI owned since new, is able to swich it for a 13 year old car. But once inside it, even the most ceptic can be easily convinced that this was a good idea. Even the less emotional have to agree, since I avoided the increasing depreciation of the Pug and bought this car at almost the bottom of depreciation by the same value.
It's a US spec MX-5 (Miata in US) with air-con, cruise control, Kenwood stereo with 6 cd player and MKII 15'' wheels with 20.000 miles on the clock.
If the car really has that mileage, I can't be sure. But it sure does feel like it. It rides like a new car. And theres absolutely no price that pays the feeling I had when this morning I opened my garage gate and saw that elegant and tiny classic shape, waiting for me to enjoy.
Bring on the hairdresser comments. I don't care. I'm so bloody happy...
