    The Rules:

GT4 Challenge 2.5 will start on Wednesday 11th January 2006.
GT4 Challenge 2.5 will end on Sunday 15th Jan at midnight. All times must be submitted by this deadline.
The winner of the previous comp. will choose the car, track, tyres, modifications of the new comp, and also the date for entry submissions.
You will PM your best time to RazaBlade.
You MUST PM your time to me if you wish for it to be included.
The one with the fastest time will be the winner.
If you have a time that you think will win, take a picture as proof. If you win you will have to present this photo as proof.
If the time submitted by someone is unreallistically fast it will be excluded.
If I find out that any time is false, goes against any rules, or is done through any use of unfair play or cheatery, the user will be banned from the competition for one week and will be stripped of all their points.
All future comps will allow unlimited Quicktuning and softest tires in Arcade mode.
    Scoring goes like this:
    1st place recieves 10 points.
    2nd place get 8.
    3rd gets 6.
    4th gets 4
    5nd gets 2.
Everybody else who submits a time recieves 1 point.
There will be a secret time that, under the rules, should be easy to obtain. This will be called the target time. If you meet the target time you will recieve an additional 1 point.

As there was no secret time set by shockwaveracing, no additional point was given.

    Congratulations shockwaveracing, whats next?

not sure yet, seeing as this weeks was a bit hard (in terms of getting the car)

FPV F6 Typhoon @ Suzuka Circuit West (Forward)

i am in a bit of a pickle here, i didn't take a picture at the end of the lap but i did take one at the end of watching it in the replay theatre, i am going to need help from PoRsChEnUt or anybody else with a MaxDrive, to verify this lap...

picture is below, and the replay is here ---> http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=9104137

has also been sent to PoRsChEnUt in the hope that he can verify it for me...

EDIT: I leave it up to RazaBlade to set out a finish time for this competition so that there is no more confusion on my behalf.

Oh, Im not saying there has to be a target time, just the fact that if theres not one set, its ok.
Oh, and for arguments sake, what does F1 use to decide the cut-off point for quali times? What % above the winning time?

Oh, and what car is that?? How do you get it etc... thanks dude

ah k cool, and regarding that MaxDrive replay, i hope it can be used for verification coz i was a little silly in not taking a photo at the end of the lap. i assure you it is perfectly clean though...

for what it is worth, my splits from my quickest lap

    T1: 28.402 (saw a few 28.1xx through here)
T2: 1'03.131 (this was my fastest through here)

It used to be 107% in the late nineties, but I'm not so sure anymore. I just haven't had the time to be doing these GT4 challenges and I've given my PS2 to a friend for a while, so I won't be able to do anymore either, which is a bit of a shame.

I couldn't be bothered getting last weeks car, but I'm back this week.

I'm in the low 1'25s and that includes a 193km/h drift around the 130R, which obviously is not the quickest way around, but a lot of fun nevertheless!

Raza, just to clear things up: the competition starts as soon as it is issued, although the issuer has until wednesday to do so. right? This was put in place so that the issuer has enough time to try cars and tracks to post interesting challenges.

Edit: I'm mid 1'24s but my exit speed at 130R is 10km/h slower than with the drift !?!?!

Razablade is running the comp now so he is the one in charge of the rules.

Anyway, the first rule has been overruled. Read the thread. It's back to midnight at the point of residence of the particpant. The second rule is not possible due to the fact that there is no attachment system for PMs. The third rule was not taken into consideration in challenge 2.4. That was the reason I didn't participate.
