Matt, how do you store all that? I though computers could really only hold up to around 80GB...how big is your harddrive!

In my Cars folder: 34.107 files in 236 folders (sorted on brand and model), totalling 8,88 Gb.

17288 and 26.8 Gb.

This inlcudes all the pictures that I had to reduce in size to allow for the maximum UCP attachment size. I assume that there are about 15,000 indivudual pics, all taken by myself though

6,660 files. Size -> 11.7 GB

I'd have lots, lots, lots more but for the past two months or so I've completely stopped, due to severe shortage in hard drive. Obviously I'm taking out any "unwanted items", but just how many things can you take out....

This is how I arrange it:

My Documents -> husain -> Cars -> Pics (also Sounds, Vids and Others) -> Manufacturer/Motorsport -> Model/Motorsport type.

All together: 34791 pictures, 1499 folders, 6.57 GB

Only sorted collection (I'm only collecting exterieur pics with the complete cars on them): 25528 pictures, 1158 folders, 3.65 GB

Only my own pics (car shows, rallies and other car stuff): 5213 pictures, 47 folders, 2.27 GB

Only Formula 1 pics (collection discontinued, I had collected pics of every race between 1998 and 2003, but now only the new cars): 2865 pictures, 223 folders, 296 MB

Only crashed cars (also discontinued): 861 pictures, 55 folders, 65 MB

Only unsorted pics (pictures of cars, I have to sort into my collection, mostly unique cars): 324 pictures, 12 folders, 276 MB

All my pics : 4463 files, 121 folders, 5.20GB

I have 3 external hard drives. My 250GB drive acts as a backup. My 120 GB drive stores my pictures. My 80GB drive stores my videos. I have a replication program that constantly keeps an up-to-date backup. I also have a 200GB internal drive, but I only use it for a temp repository when burning dvds.

That would be, what, a petabyte?

A terabyte is 2 to the 40th power bytes.
A petabyte is 2 to the 50th power bytes.

I have 60 folders organized by make, containing 1,564 high res pics all divided by sub-folders organized by model. I have a ways to go before I catch up to Matt.
