I'm looking for my 1970 Challenger 340 which my brother
bought new and I owned from 1976-1990. Originally Sublime Green
with rear Bumblebee stripe. A front Bumblebee was added
during repaint in 1980. I traced VIN to someone in Fairfield
County, Ohio, registered in 2003. If anyone has seen this
car, please let me know. I'd like to get in touch with current
owner. VIN is jh23h0bXXX270.

i would suggest you try and log onto a challenger club website or an owners club.
Both of those would most probably contain information on the wherabouts of certain serial numbers ETC.
If your lucky, you may just find someone has looked after this car and is now proudly displaying it.
