Do these things actually see surfaces other than tarmac?
WHAT is the point both in street racing and these OFF ROAD vehicles being tuned for street use?
I cannot be bothered right now to list the disadvantages of using a tank for "street racing" but ask this: How can you hope to change gear quickly holding those gearsticks and using those gearboxes? It must be either like dragging a pole through wet cement or waving that same pole around in a room full of jelly...

Didn't see the pics but here's a bit of trivia: Remember the sporty Nissan 300ZX V6-TT? Well guess what - both it and Nissan Patrol share the same basic gearbox! (inc syncro on reverse)Do these things actually see surfaces other than tarmac?

I'm aware of that but what they don't share is a meter long gearstick...it'd be like changing gear with a sink plunger.
