I want one, too.
The question remains; will it be FWD or AWD?

I tend to disagree. The 3 is packing a surprising amount of HP compared to the 6, so i would think the only thing the 6 has going for it is its AWD, which has to overcome a large weight deficit.Originally Posted by Sabiego

I think you'd find Mazda is aiming at different markets with the 3 and 6. The 3 is probably designed to be more of an out-and-out sportscar, while the 6 is more luxury, cruiserish with some decent go. I've read good things about the 6, at the end of the day the Liberty GT is a tiny bit quicker, but the 6 is a much better drive
Mazda were saying the 6 was designed for those who like drifting would you believe it...

interesting, considering the AWD system is normally 100% FWD until slip and then it'll only go as far as a 50/50 split
Well dynamically the 6 is almost bulletproof, so it was never a case the AWD was absolutely necessary. I think the setup theyve come up with is more suited to controlled drifts than balls out drifts however though.

With the 2.3 it will be a torquey little bugger, pity it wont be AWD , still be a fun little drive I bet, less weight and the 3 chassis is good for a FWD
