Got that one too... I always thought that it was curious that only 3 of the 10 are mid-engined.
...Utah! Get me two...
Although the dino was important, i don't at all support its place in the top ten. It helped ferrari out of a slump, sorta like the cayenne in porsche, but to say that the cayenne is one of the greatest porsches ever?? I think they are seriously missing the F50 to say the least

what is the enzo doing at 4 and the f40 at only 10? thats madness. it should be the other way round. the f40 was enzo's ultimate dream to build the best supercar in the world just before his death am I right? that alone should hold more importance than a modern day computer on wheels. in my opinion.

Where is the F50, it's the most beautiful one and one of the purest!
And Enzo #4 is pathetic

I agree completely, the F40 is such a spectacular machine deserving of the top 5 at least. Something about it, it's just one of my favourite Ferraris, or cars for that matter, ever made.Originally Posted by Cotterik

10 is not enough. There are just too many great ones. It's hard to fault the cars that were picked or why they were picked. Great all, if not milestones in the company's history. If it was required to make room in the top 10, in order include the F430 or the 612 Scaglietti; I'd look at demoting the 166MM Barchetta, Dino, 250 California Spyder, or the 250 GT Series I Cabriolet.
F40 is a better choice than the 288 GTO, as it is the ultimate evolution of that chassis, and having both would be redundant.
The Dino, by many isn't really even considered a real Ferrari, so it's inclusion is a little suspect. The shape however is the foundation of the 308 and the subsequent mid-engined 8-cylinder cars.
This article shows why Ferrari is held in such esteem by so many. And many don't like it but the Enzo represents the best of what Ferrari have achieved in the past 60 years.

When I clicked on this thread, Perf had only got up to #9, and there was no F40 there! Was gonna have a fit.
I concede that I know very little about the true classic Ferraris, but the Enzo is way too high, the F40 way too low. I totally agree with cottericks comment.
Even though the F50 may have been faster than the F40, in my books it was always about the F40.
Porsche!
It depends on how you rate "greatness" I suppose.
The F50 should definately be in there in place of the Enzo.
What does the Enzo do that hasn't been done before? Nothing.
The F50 was based on an actual F1 car, that Ferrari raced - and things such as the mounting of the suspension were firsts in a road car IIRC
The engine was a detuned race engine, as used in the 333SP.
The car is also rated as the greater driver's car over the Enzo.
Thanks for all the fish
YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!! I agree with that 100%. the 250 GTO is an awesome motor.Originally Posted by PerfAdv
