Phil Abbott oversaw the handover of SR9 chassis number one to Martin Short of Rollcentre Racing yesterday. The SR9 was fitted with a 3.4 litre Judd V8, Ricardo 750Nm transmission fitted with a Megaline semi-automatic shifter system, and the data logging equipment was courtesy of PI.
Ready to race, the SR9 is spot on the weight limit. Phil heaped praise on the whole team of guys from Rollcentre, headed by Michael Tallentire (Cushty), the Radical team, headed by Vincent Rassat, and the design team, headed by Peter Elleray.
The car is currently headed for Paul Ricard circuit for it’s shake-down and pre-season test.
It probably will have the same livery as the old Rollcentre Dallara LMP eventually
