Personally I have no sympathy for him, if he has a problem with the traction control then he should have sorted it with his engineers BEFORE the season started. Isn't this bloke supposed to be one of the best drivers in the world? He should be able to adapt like that (snap your fingers here).

It also slightly annoys me that before the season started all the pundits were saying great, we'll finally have a proper yard stick against which to measure Button, and now Bazza's getting wallopped they're all blaming the car rather than complementing Jenson. RUBBISH!

Well its a bit unfair when he hasnt got the car set up as he wants. Very true about the pre-season testing, he should have had the problems sorted by then!! I hope Bari doesnt just fade away into the background, I think hes a good bloke, deserves a bit of fanfare near end of his career......

He is new to the BAR-Honda so he needs a few races to get used to it. Plus the car is likely to be designed around button, and not for rubinho (again)

I disagree, he should have been used to the car BEFORE the season got underway and these guys are supposed to be the best drivers in the world (or, at the very least, F1 specialists) - he should be able to adapt.

I feel a bit sorry for him, but I agree with mr. Kipling....
At least as a Ferrari driver he finished the races, he's transfer to Honda has dissapointed his fans but surely he can't be to pleased himself. Hope to see some decent results from both Honda drivers this season!

Im surprised Barichello is having so much problem with the car. If he comes back after a 3 week gap and not have clawed some driveability back, then there are some serious issues. Sure, when he was in the Ferrari, he was still high-middle of pack on occasions, but I think it should be compared to the sister car. And now the sister car isnt being driven by a 7 time champion

So he's finally driving a car that isn't red and look what happens. Guess it shows you why Schumi won the championship all those years and Barrichello could never win more than a few GP's.

I hear he's a likable guy, I guess I never warmed up to him.

He wouldnt have gotten it right even if he took the brunt of all of Honda's testing. That Honda is completely setup for Button and his driving style. RB's gunna need a few months to adapt to the car. If hes going to drive the car fast, hes going to need to abuse the car and as long as its got Buttons smoother driving style built into it, RB's going nowhere

That's my point, he shouldn't NEED that long to get used to it. Schumi drove a race without a barge board by instantly adjusting his style; Raikkonen nursed that flatted tyre until the last lap by adjusting his driving style. He's just making excuses for being lazy over the winter.

Last time i checked, nursing a tyre or a loss of downforce doesnt mean you need to change which foot you brake with!

Hah hah! That's very true! But if he's that far behing the rest of the field - should he have a drive? As far as I know he's the only top flight F1 driver who doesn't left-foot.

Well obviously the strengths of the Ferrari were able to hide his weaknesses. Even last year when Ferrari were nowhere they displayed superior braking to even Renault, at Imola in particular but that was a freak race compared to the rest of their year.

I think he deserves a drive though. If the Aguri boys can get a drive than surely RB should have one
