    Top Gear Music

I'm watching Top Gear again on the Discovery Channel ( the episode with the Murcielago vs. Mitsu Evo 8, and the VW Golf struck by lightning) here in New York, and I'm thinking to myself... I really like the music they're playing on it... so anybody have any idea whether Top Gear puts out any music CD's or even a tracklist of any sort? I'd actually spend the time (a bit less $ though) to get a hold of some of those gems...

    thanks very much!

go to the finalgear.com forums. They have a whole section that's got all the music (that people have figured out) listed for each episode, with the time as well

The only one I can remember exactly is, in the episode where they test the cars in Iceland, is Sigur Ros. First (self-titled) track off of the Von album.

I also know they used a Kasabian song in one episode. That's all I've got right now lol.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

As 2CC says, anything you want to know about any of the episodes is probably on the forums at finalgear.com. Handy site for Top Gear/5th Gear knowledge.

I think Koenigsegg is Swedish for: "Oh no, my head's just exploded!"

Pretty sure he'll have told them to stuff it in his usual style !!!!!

IF they try copying it and DON'T manage to keep in the ascerbic wit then it'll be a pale shadow and wont' attract the audiences Top Gear of 10 yeras ago style --- dull and boring ( if a lot more informative )

I'm kind of thinking the Office right now

There hardly likely to badmouth their new program.

and I would have loved to have been there when they told Jeremy his comments would be 'edited'. I'm sure I'd have learnt many new swear words

Twain Norman wrote/played the TG theme song.

The "Montars of 2006" was featured with "Do you want to?", by Franz Ferdinand.

A bit of "Four to the floor" by Starsailor made it's way in the SLR video.

Then in the BMW-dominated episode back in 2003 (when the Stig "died"), there were two songs from his tribute. One had the lines:
"Seasons don't feel the rainbows, nor do the wind some of the rain." and "Feel the rainbow take my hand" but I can't find them on google.

The other one was played by Peter Cetera, called "If you leave me now."

I knew a lot of others but these are the only ones I can think of right now.
