    Photo Competition

    I decided to enter a local competition, in the Vacation Photo and Portrait/Pet categories, and was wondering if you could help me choose between a few shots...? just say one number from each category and click the picture for a 320x240 view, if you think its got potential but want to see it larger just let me know

    Vacation Photo Choices:

    #1 River In Montana


    #2 Boat at my lakehouse (taken by putting a wide angle lens backwards )


    #3 sunset in montana


    Animal Portrait Photos:

    #1 My Cat:


    #2 Cat again


    #3 my cousin's dog

    Either #1 or #2. Number 1 has a weird depth of field look to it. I know it's supposed to be blurred in the background, but it almost looks poorly taken so to speak.

    #2 is cool because it's so different from what you typically see. And I like the B+W one of the dog.

    #1 has terrible bokeh, #2 is rather good though, nice and original.

    it can get quite complicated to explain, but at its most basic description, its the quality of out of focus areas. It comes from your camera lens, so i'm not having a go at your shot, its actually quite nice, but the OOF areas lack quality

    oh yeah that was my old compact digi cam, not the greatest
