They almost went under a few times to.

Its too bad tho, Fiat has a great history, its still known word wide dissipite being so small, and a good italian style image with Ferrari backing could of been like the Volkswagon corp/group. When Honda started making cars there inspiration was from fiat as well. Couldya imagine ferrari [helped] engineered econo 1.4 20V 4 bangers and such.
That is one stupid opening for a meaningless debate! Different people have different meanings, no problem. But there should be no excuse for such unintelligent outbursts that has none or very little hold in realities. You need to learn a little more about FIAT, Agnelli familie and Italy to make for an intelligent debate on this subject.

Alright maybe I wasn't so clear, and the thread title may be inapproiate when looking back. I was trying to say- shouldn't Fiat be a better then what it is. In reality didn't Fiat almost go under not so long ago, it was almost bought by GM but GM declined, arent there cars in the past known for being not so depend/reliable, they had to withdraw out of alot of foriegn markets- killing potential revenue. All the result of not so good products.

And I'm saying, being somewhat related to Ferrrari, who is extroridinary/revolutionary in the industry, with quarter of the assistance it would be great if the made desirable products, so they could sell more a be a profitable co., it would be great for italy, wouldn't it?
between the 500 and the grand punto what memoriable Fiat cars have their been?

Please, Zeta, put your location (and age if you don't mind) in your profile. If you are teenager from good ol' U.S.of A. then your ignorance is forgivable, no offence .

If you are interested in FIAT (otherwise why bother threads like this), you really need to learn more about Fiat, like Gardin already said. Have you had any personal experiences with Fiats? If not, then howcome you know they suck?

I am a happy owner of a Fiat and please believe me: Fiat does not suck.

Plenty. Since you are obviously into Ferraris, I'll say one name: Fiat Dino .

If Fiats start coming with passion, what is the point of Alfa-romeo?
