Why doesn't the Italian passion in cars rub off on Fiat? I understand there suppose to be cheap, economical, pratical cars but they don't have to be like that, their sub Renault Citroen. Why didn't any (at least 1/4) of Ferrari's goodness get into them, like some ferrari engineers and great designers work there parttime give them a boost?Pinnifirina? with interior exterior design, relability, and image. They almost went under a few times to.

Its too bad tho, Fiat has a great history, its still known word wide dissipite being so small, and a good italian style image with Ferrari backing could of been like the Volkswagon corp/group. When Honda started making cars there inspiration was from fiat as well. Couldya imagine ferrari [helped] engineered econo 1.4 20V 4 bangers and such.

Alright maybe I wasn't so clear, and the thread title may be inapproiate when looking back. I was trying to say- shouldn't Fiat be a better then what it is. In reality didn't Fiat almost go under not so long ago, it was almost bought by GM but GM declined, arent there cars in the past known for being not so depend/reliable, they had to withdraw out of alot of foriegn markets- killing potential revenue. All the result of not so good products.

And I'm saying, being somewhat related to Ferrrari, who is extroridinary/revolutionary in the industry, with quarter of the assistance it would be great if the made desirable products, so they could sell more a be a profitable co., it would be great for italy, wouldn't it?
