I think the C6 is a little faster, but all in all, they're pretty even and it'll probably depend on the drivers' feels of each car around a track.
I'm looking for 1/4 mile and 0-60mph. 1/4 mile is not listed on this site. Also, lots of websites put #'s down on the stats. A lot of those #'s are just manufacturer estimates and not actual stats. I do believe stats that are in magazines are accurate because they are actually tested. If someone knows a reliable source on the internet, then please post up.

For both cars the 0-60 is right around the 4 second range, Ive seen 3.9 for both.Originally Posted by furious_fiero

Like I said, they're pretty equal. It'll come down to the driver, and 1 may be faster on 1 track than another.
That's probably about the best answer you'll get to which is fastest, man. Sorry.
If they are pretty much equal and (I couldn't find stats on the sites I check) the C6 base car and the Z06 being the tuned version, then that speaks really well for the C6. The new basic Corvette can run with the older top-of-the-line and for how much less money? Also, then new Z06 should just destroy the old Z06...

What are u talking about? The new C6 coupe costs more then a older Z06...so doesnt that mean the old Z06 is the best value? Also, of course the new Z06 kills the old one...no questions.Originally Posted by PerfAdv

I often go to caranddriver.com or motortrend.com to compare specs on cars. Both sites will have multiple articles and road tests which may give you different figures, but i usually compare the best numbers for a car in one of the magazines to the best numbers for another car in the same magazine.
Let's settle our arguments by testing the cars using Gran Turismo 5/ Forza 2 when they come out. Then we can test them against the new Corvette in 2007-8
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
Wrong! The '04 Z06 cost more than a base C6. Why didn't you know that?Originally Posted by furious_fiero

well you're probably not going to find a new 2004 zo6, and used one probably would cost less than a brand new c6 (even with very low miles).Originally Posted by PerfAdv
You're probably right about that but accounting depreciation brings a whole new dimension. In a couple of years when the C6 is old it'll probably cost much less than the limited production '04 Z06...Originally Posted by gtface
The question is best answered with MSRP pricing.

Really? MSRP pricing doesnt really apply to a 2 year old car and i was assuming he was compparing the 2 cars based on how much they would actually cost today. In fact, i think if you were to compare a slightly used 2006 c6 with a 2004 zo6 with about the same miles the prices would be nearly identical.Originally Posted by d-quik
