    Marcos Ambrose qualifying

Well, the wonder from down under has done it again, he's qualified on the front row for the Con-Way Freight 200 at Michigan Raceway. P2, just behind Skinner.

My bet is he starts from rear of field again and works his way into the race, which I think is a good idea. Its a 2 mile oval and speed should be pretty high, the bus he's driving appears to be a fairly good one so fingers crossed hey...

He's been going pretty well the last few races and looks to be settling into the way of racing well.

Anyone want to predict where he'll finish?

    I think P12.

hes apparently gotten a new race engineer for this round, which could be attributed to his pace, although i think it was that first race they illegally played around with the car to send him to the back of the grid, he was doing pretty good.

Seems like his team is the only thing stopping him from going better, Maybe he is to good for them

Finished 26th on the lead lap. Not too bad. He's in a fairly good team Slick, Woods Bros are a bit like Stone Bros here with a bit more history. Its still a learning thing, and he's announced his famous 5 yr plan now too, thats what he had in V8 Supercar as well, he said 5 yrs to win the title and I think he got it in his 3rd... I think its a bit out of reach to get a title over there on your third season though. Time will tell.

Well its entirely possible he could be contending for the truck title next year or 2008, but its the Nextel Cup over there that means everything, and thats a few years away.

I guess if you were going to lose 3 out of your 4 gears in your gearbox I guess the one you want to keep is fourth on an oval, must make it a bitch to try to pit or restart after a caution but hey... I hope we get that satelite dish at the new house.
