where do you get your info

i have been wondering where do most people find the best place to learn about new tech. mags, books, the net, classes, or just experience. I find most on the net (here), and in mags, I would really like to know any sources that anyone could tell me about. Like what classes you took, mags you read, web pages you like, anything thanks

Well, you pretty much answered everything yourself. Start off by reading magazines, like EVO, CAR, Motor Trend, etc. Browsing the net on automotive forums like this one or just flipping through HowStuffWorks.com is always a plus, especially if you're enrolled in an automotive technical/mechanical class at school, whether it be engineering or a basic metal/machining shop. But, the best way to learn is to go hands on, take apart a lawnmower engine or tinker around with the motor in your car (w/ someone who knows what they're doing of course). First-hand experience never fails.

Yeah, the magazines are a good source. You get lots of spy pics of new cars and stuff. Motortrend is a good place to start. Car and Driver, Road and Track could be others. Some of the news I get off of this forum though. I thank all the car nuts on this forum for that.

I get most of mine from hands on experience, magazines, books, and other people.
