It's the distance that gets me.

If the Sun were a ball with a diameter of 14cm, the Earth would be a ball, diameter 0.1cm, 15m away, Pluto would be a ball, diameter 0.02cm, 591.5m away (1/3 mile).
    Thanks for all the fish

Yeah, or that if you were travelling in a modern rocket it would take you 10,000 years to get from Pluto to the edge of our Solar System!

Same, there's something in me that can't quite fathom it. For me, 20 miles is a considerably distance (most things further away than that are useless ), so God knows how many hundreds of millions of thousands of miles is incomprehensible... is there even a unit or measurement big enough to tell us how big Antares is?

lol Yeah a light year is considerably bigger.

    1 light year = 9.4605284 × 10^15 meters while the diameter of Antares is 1.33 × 10^12 meters.

imagine if antares was our earth... we would be the capital of the universe, and never have to worry about over population!
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you.
