This month, Road & Track has an article about this car, it's an interesting read. The owner took the pieces and rebuilt it into a Salt Flats world record speed car. He says it was therapeutic to get back to that after the crash, which he faults himself for for not insisting on pre-driving the course.

Interesting to read about and then find this old forum with ppl flaming the driver without knowing all the facts.
