I know it isn't a standard one, but it was the best picture I could find. I wanted to know if he meant those ones, which I've never seen on the road anywhere, or the later models which are FWD/AWD.

I guess that is what was meant. Fully running in a good condition they fetch around 7-8k. Btw. where do I look for a non runner, classifieds where? Of RWD Escorts you'll only get one or two on Pistonheads and there the prices will be more like 10k, as all of them have been modded for racing in some way...

Scrol through it and look, I hadn't time to look.. Maybe you find something

It's set up and drivetrain weight distribution that determines understeer or oversteer, not whether it's FR or FF - a touring car is a front driver but they get oversteer... a 7 is rear wheel drive and get monumental understeer.

And yeah that was the RS2000 I meant - have a look in this month's Track and Race Cars Magazine for a bit more info - they've got a whole feature on them

Agreed, but for real fun, you definatly need RWD... With FF you can create oversteer, but you can't like do a couple of rounds on a roundeboud sideways.

Owning a RWD car won't allow you to do that automatically, most don't have LSDs and the ones that do will be out of his price range.

I haven't got LSD at the moment, and you can make donut's, drift as long as you want... It's better with LSD offcourse, but if you want to learn it good, it's better to learn it without LSD.

And for a 400/600 euros, you got yourself a LSD, for 600 you can buy a E30 LSD with 3.9 ratio or even a 4.1(quite rare)!

You can practically get an R32 for what a good condition '86 changes hands for these days.
