    For some reason it reminds me of the BMW chase cars in MR. and Mrs. Smith.

    Anybody know what those were?

    Those were E39 5-series.

    It could have been M5's but I don't think the cost justify using M5's. They are rare and more expensive. They could just put quad exhausts and body kits on a 525 and recorded the sounds that they needed at a sound studio. Welcome to the world of Hollywood.
