    Quick question on the Porsche Cayenne...

    I am aware that the Porsche Cayenne has 6 ride height settings - does anyone know if these can these be changed at speed???

    I had a look at the Porsche website, but all that tells me is how high it can go.

    For the record, I'm not buying one ....just curious.
    I am a New Zealander, and I hate Greg Murphy. Yes, we exist.

    it prolly can adjust on the fly. air suspension. i dun see why not. all it is is a matter of it going up and down. many cars had it. i kno my parents had a troublesome old Mitsubishi Galant from like 1988. loaded up wit active air suspension. and when you hit 60MPH the front would drop, on rough road it would lift the car up

    I believe, although I'm not certain, that it automatically lowers itself above a certain speed.

    I'm almost certain that the Range Rover lowers itself.

    I can't see that it would allow you to fiddle too much - going from the lowest, hardest setting to the tallest floppiest off road set up at high speed in 3 tonnes of ugly probably isn't a good idea.

    Having said that - conditions permitting you can get up to quite a speed whilst off road* - and you would still need the height whilst doing that.

    Go to a dealer when they are quiet and ask?

    * Charge!

    It has 6 hights, though the lowest one is for loading pourpose only, and can't be driven, the 5 others can be adjusted when driving, though I don't think it adjust automaticly before reaching high speed.. 150 + km/h and up...

    Yeah, I've just been to Porsche Centre Guildford, specifically to get your question answered. As the above says, The lowest setting is purely to make ease of loading and unloading. The other 5 settings can be altered whilst driving from the toggle switch on the centre console.

    I love air suspension!
    Back in 1993 to 1995 my Dad had a brand-new (this'll please henk4) Citroen XM estate. This has a slidey switch to alter it's ride hight, although you had to wait ages having started the car for it to rise up. I believe the Xantia had this too? Henk, you had one, am I correct?
