i'm using LPG at the moment curious to see how it goes. though the car is dual fuel, it seems to need a tune to make it run properly with petrol again.

It probably does need to recalibrate itself to the different fuel. The first 50 miles or so were probably fairly rocky? I'll bet your LPG mileage is no better than 2/3 the MPG of gasoline, if memory serves...is LPG pretty cheap there? That comparison would be better made on a cost-per-mile/km basis.

I've been moving between 7,0l/100km and 7,7l/100km (33.6-30.6mpg US / 40.4-36.7mpg UK) in my last three tanks in the Mazda, while not being especially careful (including a high speed 100km stint).

Final tally: 38,5mpg or 6,11l/100km. Disappointing.

Hey! Only we can use that word!

I was driving a '13 GLK Friday and the old man's TL a lot recently... It is nice to step into quick gas cars after driving the fat diesel R.

Point being, which I forgot to mention, was I maximized hydrocarbon use in the runs in each vehicles.

Someone has GOT to get this economy going!

Nice! I have it in my blood as a personal challenge to use less fuel...otherwise I don't care. Hence the total-lack-of-pollution-controls-other-than-your-faith-that-I-keep-it-maintained Mustang.

LPG is about half price of petrol, it works out to the cost equivalent of using 4L/100km of petrol.
i need to fix the tune for the petrol - i use petrol until i hit the freeway then i switch to gas.

    Communisticalness is indeed bad, but:

Since when a Mercedes SUV is a quick gas car?

You don't have imposed communisticalness, so stop driving slow undepowered cars like we have to and hop into 5 litre V8 Mustang!

    Or something.

    It's for work! It's basically a high C-Class with the 300 hp V6!

I only drove a hi-po C63 in the lot. The R is my trusty steed mostly. 23k kms in 5 months. I did circa 300 kms today.

I get confused with alphanumeric names. I prefer a REAL name. GLK and SRX and MKZ don't mean much of...anything to me.
