I've always thought it'd suit full-size muscle really well, I've always wanted to drop it in a '62 Impy, bag it, stick it on 17's, and be happy with the resto-mod. Of course, I wouldn't do anything that couldn't be reversed if I wanted to go back to stock for whatever reason.

If it fits in the Chevelle, it'll fit in the El, since the El was based on the Chevelle. The Nova would be a tight fit though.

Not a muscle car--but I know it would work quite well.

    1969 Chevrolet C-10 Fleetside

Also an older 1960-1970 Chevrolet Suburban would be cool.

Stacy already did this on Spike TV's 'Trucks' - it was called Project Copperhead, if I recall...

At the weekly car show I visit, I have seen a '70 El Camino there with the crate 572 engine.

A 572 crate engine car will most likely always be a show car. You could put a nasty carb, h/c, and nitrous setup and it would be a hell of a motor. If youve ever heard a car with that big of bore it pullsates your entire body.

I did see that El Camino drive into and out of the parking lot. That engine sounded very powerful!

Personally this scares me... an engine that size does on four wheels is just frightening... but I wouldn't have any problem if you want to drop it into my camaro, except that it would probably turn my driveshaft into a pretzel.

attach it to a ford 9" and drop the whole sucker in a se7en body, although it would have to have some substantial chassis strengthening. that would be a hoot.
