    I haven't used it myself, but aparently for some people, IS (and VR IIRC) lenses can make people feel unsteady, dizzy, or even nauseous, due to the image staying relatively stationary in the VF whilst you move a little, and worse if you shoot with both eyes open.

    Because they have already invested a lot of time and money in their optical IS and VR solutions which are superior to the moving-sensor solutions.

    I'm sure it's nice, but the noise on that will be stupidly annoying. That was one thing I hated about my super-zoom compact. Just man-up and get an SLR, you'll thank yourself later. (seriously)

    everything on an SLR is 10x faster, better quality etc. totally worth the cost if you've got the money.
